A Pirate's Quest sets sail with a colourful crew, cannon fire and enough bonus variety to keep its familiar five reel, 20 payline layout interesting. Random Wild Cannons can pepper the reels with substitutes, while Jolly Roger drops oversized symbols into the action and Pirate Battle brings enemy ships into your treasure hunt. The main attraction is Shiver Me Timbers, a free spins feature offering different cannon modes, each putting its own twist on how wilds reach the reels. Treasure chests can add cash, extra spins or more wilds, giving the bonus another layer of surprises. There's a good amount of imagination beneath the pirate costumes, although much of the excitement depends on randomly arriving features. That makes this a lively, varied adventure deserving 3.5 stars, rather than an exceptional voyage worth four.
